Through Innovation Gainesville, the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce has challenged local entrepreneurs to rethink how business is done in Gainesville. Rather than relying solely on the University of Florida’s expansion to drive our economy, this movement is bringing new ideas, new focus and new energy to the local business community. Among this new wave of local entrepreneurs is Pete Zimek, President and CEO of Gainesville-based Traffic2Revenue.
Traffic2Revenue’s first project, SwampRentals.com is a cutting edge, online guide to find Gainesville apartments. Gainesville renters can quickly search through more than 60 apartments to find the one that best matches their lifestyle. Built by Gainesville web development company, 352 Media Group, SwampRentals.com showcases a custom search tool which creates a uniquely powerful experience for its users. And its sleek design provides Gainesville apartment seekers with a fresh, engaging feel along with unparalleled utility.
First, Gainesville apartment renters can search in real time through nearly 300 criteria while their apartment results are updated instantaneously. This unique search technology has eliminated the need for the “search” and “back” buttons. Second, with Gainesville’s mix of UF apartments priced by the bedroom and non-student apartments priced by the apartment, it is often hard for renters to compare apples to apples. Swamp Rentals makes it simple by showing both “by the bed” and “by the apartment” rent prices, saving renters a ton of time. And third, Swamp Rentals is the first website in Gainesville to allow renters to find apartments based on green criteria including low energy lighting, native landscaping, and others.
Traffic2Revenue recently Launched Orlando Apartment Locator.com, a site designed to help renters find Orlando apartments. The website has similar features to Swamp Rentals.com, but its tailor-made to suit Orlando (including specific information about Full Sail apartments and UCF apartments). Traffic2Revenue recently purchased several domains and is in the process of replacing the former owner’s technology with their own apartment search technology. These will eventually be guides for finding Tallahassee apartments, Tampa apartments, and Jacksonville apartments.
Traffic2Revenue’s web platform was built to be customizable and scalable. It can be used to help local internet users find apartments, real estate, restaurants, or any other item that requires an in-depth search. The company is currently in talks with a number of entrepreneurs and organizations around the country who are considering adapting the Traffic2Revenue web technology for their markets.
